Ron Boyce
Ron Boyce

Ron has been involved with coaching baseball and softball for 15 years in the Rochester area. Most recently having coached 14, 16, and 18U travel softball teams in the Rochester Thunder and Rochester Lady Lions organizations, with several of his players moving on to have successful college softball careers. He also is a Varsity Assistant at Greece Arcadia High School. He has attended regional and national hitting clinics to better understand the physical and mental aspects of the art of hitting. In working with Ron, your player will come to understand the importance of how proper mechanics, strength & conditioning, the proper psychological mindset come together to make a superior hitter. Great hitters are not born, they are the product of proper instruction, a lot of hard work, and dedication.

Jon Schwind

Jon is currently a professional baseball player in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization who gives private lessons while he is home during the offseason. He is a Hilton High School and Marist College graduate. In 2011, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected Jon in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft and he has made his way up the organizational ladder by playing at every single level (Rookie, Short-Season A, Low A, High A, Double A, and Triple A). Jon also spends time in the offseason coaching at The College at Brockport.

Jon’s goal for every student he works with is to improve their skill, but also for them to become more confident with their abilities. Each student will be positively challenged to understand how their body needs to work properly and will learn to be mindful of their movements during their baseball activity. The result of this will allow the student to practice correct habits, which will ensure that they can trust themselves in real game competition.
