Golf at Salmon Creek Country Club

Established in 1962 and named after the creek that runs
through the golf course, Salmon Creek Country Club is
located on 150 acres of land in a beautiful setting of
mature trees, rolling fields, sparkling ponds, and the
winding Salmon Creek.
The semi-private golf course was designed by noted course
architects Peter Craig and Bobby Hill to be a challenge to
the experienced golfer and enjoyable for the average player.
Continuous improvements and nurturing have established
Salmon Creek Country Club as one of the finest golf courses
in Western New York.
Salmon Creek Country Club is located between Spencerport and
Brockport. Our hours of operation are sunrise to sunset
during the golf season.
Our Pro Shop is stocked with golf balls, bags, as well as
clothing and other Golf accessories.
Leagues at Salmon Creek
Salmon Creek offers day and night leagues for all
ages and skill levels. Whether it is just you that
wants to join a league or you have a group, we can
help you out. Please give us a call for more
information.

Golf Lessons with Gary Tatar
Salmon Creek is fortunate to have PGA Professional Gary
Tatar who offers lessons to all age groups and skill levels.
Gary Tatar PGA professional elected to membership in 1977,
a graduate of PGA business schools I & II. Gary has
taught at Genesee Community College in the Golf Management
Program, is certified as a K-Vest TPI Golf Instructor, and
certified as a Special Olympics Golf Coach.
Gary has served as a teaching professional at the
Lancaster, Yahnundasis, Chili, and Mill Creek golf clubs.
Today Gary primarily teaches at Salmon Creek Country Club.
He has extensive experience with with all level golfers.
Gary will assess your game and recommend a strategy to
ensure your success.
Gary is a student of the game, he is inspired and models
Harvey Penick's simple, direct, and practical teaching
approach. He stresses the importance of understanding
fundamentals and shot shape to instill confidence in playing
the game. He combines the latest sports psychology, fitness,
and course management training to help you achieve the
highest level performance you are capable.
Gary partnered with the Salmon Creek Country Club, utilizing
its 18 hole course, outdoor driving range, indoor year round
teaching area and nautilus training center. Gary has been
recognized as a leader in the golf industry and corporate
America being honored by both the Western New York PGA and
Business Management Leadership training for excellence in
leadership.
Gary currently volunteers locally as the Director of Golf
for the Genesee Region Special Olympics.

Salmon Creek Supported Golf Membership
Salmon Creek offers a favorable integrated environment,
providing opportunity for accomplish, success and a challenge
for those you may need additional supports.
The Salmon Creek facility offers year-round restaurant, golf,
tennis, racquetball, baseball, nautilus, life skill classes and
use of the indoor sports turf.
Gary Tatar a certified Direct Support Professional, member of
the Professional Golfers Association as well as the Director of
Golf Genesee Region Special Olympics oversees opportunities
offered at Salmon Creek.
The Supported Golf Membership has limited time and use
availability. The annual cost is $675.00.

Women's Thursday Night League
A fun casual league playing individual par points and an
optional skin game. There is a banquet on the last night
with a fun tournament and prizes. Check with the Pro Shop
for more info.
To participate in these leagues you must have an active
Yearly Green Fees Pass subscription.
Handicaps
If you have an Apple device (iPhone or iPad) go to the App
Store and install the USGA GHIN application. If you have an
Android device go to the Google Play store and install the
USGA GHIN application. It is free for either device type.
Enter your GHIN credentials and the application will
retrieve your GHIN Index. Select Salmon Creek Country
Club as the course then choose the appropriate tee (white,
gold, purple) and the application will give you your
handicap. You can do this for both 9 and 18 holes.
We urge everyone to enter their
scores hole by hole as it helps with future ratings.
